Penkridge RUFC, a friendly and ambitious rugby club based in the heart of Staffordshire, is on the lookout for a passionate and motivated Head Coach to lead our senior squad into an exciting new chapter. Having risen from the ashes at the end of the 2021/22 season, the club has gone from strength to strength, becoming a force to be reckoned with in the Staffordshire Leagues. We’re now aiming to take our talented squad further into the RFU Leagues in the coming seasons.

Our senior team is made up of enthusiastic, talented players who are eager to learn — while still embracing the social side of grassroots rugby. We’re looking for someone who shares our values and can help us continue our upward trajectory both on and off the pitch.

Main Responsibilities:

Lead engaging and structured training sessions every Tuesday
Plan and implement matchday strategies and game plans
Develop individual and team performance through coaching and mentoring
Work collaboratively with club officials and players to foster a positive rugby culture

What We’re Looking For:

Coaching experience is desirable but not essential — enthusiasm and leadership are key
Strong communication skills and the ability to motivate players
A genuine passion for grassroots rugby and player development
A proactive approach to growing the team and raising standards
