Penkridge RUFC, a friendly and ambitious rugby club based in the heart of Staffordshire, is on the lookout for a driven and motivated Head Coach to lead our senior squad into an exciting new chapter. As a club on the rise, we’re proud of our growing membership and the talented group of young, committed players who form the core of our team. With an application submitted to join the Midlands Division, this is a fantastic opportunity to play a key role in our progression into RFU rugby and help shape the future of the club.

Reformed at the end of the 2021/22 season, Penkridge RUFC has quickly built momentum, growing into a competitive and ambitious presence within the Staffordshire leagues. Now, as we prepare for the next step into the RFU league structure, we’re looking for the right person to help guide our talented squad through this exciting transition.

Our senior squad is built around a group of committed and talented players who are keen to improve and test themselves as we step up into the RFU pyramid. While development on the pitch is a key focus, the club continues to pride itself on maintaining a strong social and inclusive environment. We’re looking for a coach who can drive standards while embracing the culture that makes the club what it is.

Main Responsibilities:

Lead structured and engaging training sessions every Tuesday
Plan and deliver matchday tactics and game management
Support individual and team development through coaching and feedback
Work collaboratively with players and club officials to build a positive environment

What We’re Looking For:

Solid playing experience, with a strong understanding of the game
Coaching experience preferred but not essential
Strong leadership and communication skills
Passion for player development and improving performance
A proactive approach to raising standards and driving the team forward
